TidyToolsThe short version
TidyTools is designed to be privacy-friendly. The calculators run entirely in your browser (client-side). The numbers and details you type into a tool are processed on your own device and are not sent to us, not stored, and not shared. We don't ask you to create an account, and we don't run our own tracking or profiling.
Information we collect
- Calculator inputs: none reach us — they stay in your browser.
- Contact emails: if you email us at contact@tidytools.net, we receive your email address and message so we can reply. We keep it only as long as needed to respond.
- Server logs: our host (Cloudflare) may automatically process standard technical data such as IP address and browser type to deliver the site securely and prevent abuse. This is standard for virtually all websites.
Cookies
TidyTools itself does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Some cookies may be set by third parties described below (for example, when you click an affiliate link). If we add advertising in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent before non-essential cookies are used.
Affiliate links
Some pages contain affiliate links to third-party retailers and services (for example, Amazon and finance/software providers). If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, TidyTools earns from qualifying purchases. These third parties may use cookies to attribute a referral. When you leave TidyTools by clicking such a link, that site's own privacy policy applies.
Third-party services
- Hosting: the site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes technical request data as described above.
- Affiliate networks: such as Amazon Associates and any others we work with, which may set cookies when you click their links.
- Advertising (future): we may add advertising (e.g. Google AdSense) later; if so, this policy and a cookie/consent notice will be updated accordingly.
Children
TidyTools is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Because we don't collect or store personal data through the tools, there is normally nothing for us to access, correct, or delete. If you have contacted us by email and want your message removed, or have any privacy question, email contact@tidytools.net. Depending on where you live (for example, in the EU/EEA under the GDPR), you may have rights to access or delete personal data we hold about you.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves — for instance, if we add advertising or analytics. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
