What we collect
Nothing. The Tab Tamer browser extension does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information or browsing data. There are no analytics, no tracking, no accounts, and no external servers. The extension makes no network requests of its own.
What the extension stores (locally, on your device)
To do its job, Tab Tamer saves the following only in your own browser using Chrome's storage API. This data never leaves your device:
- Your settings โ the suspend timer, protection toggles, and your "never suspend" list of sites.
- Saved sessions and auto-backups โ the titles and URLs of your open tabs, so you can restore or reopen them later.
You can delete this data at any time by removing sessions inside the extension, or by removing the extension from your browser.
Permissions
Tab Tamer requests only the permissions it needs to function: tabs, storage, alarms, contextMenus, and favicon. It requests no host permissions and does not read or modify the content of the web pages you visit. Tab titles and URLs are used solely on your device to suspend tabs and to power the session and backup features.
Third parties
Tab Tamer does not send data to any third party and does not embed any third-party analytics or advertising.
