Tools that don't hold your work hostage

Plenty of "free" online utilities are free only until you've committed to them. QR generators hand out codes that route through their servers and stop working when a trial ends — here's why that happens — while file converters watermark the output, and others simply want your email before they'll give you the thing you came for.

These tools work the other way round. They run as plain JavaScript on the page you're already looking at, so what you type never reaches a server — there's nothing for us to store, sell or switch off later. Once a page has loaded it keeps working offline, and whatever you download is yours outright.
